z の発音 — 語尾に「ウ」がついてしまう理由と直し方

なぜ難しいのか

語尾のZには、「ウ」がつきがちです。size が「サイズ」、cheese が「チーズ」になってしまいます。

At the end of a word, Z often picks up a "u." Size becomes "saizu," and cheese becomes "cheezu."

発音のしかた

舌の先を上の前歯のすぐうしろに置き、ハチの羽音のように声をふるわせます。語尾では、そのままふるえを消して、母音をつけません。

Keep the tip of your tongue just behind your top teeth and buzz, like a bee. At the end, let the buzz fade with no vowel after it.
