なぜ確認するのか

日本語には「や・ゆ・よ」はありますが、「yi」の音はありません。year、yeast、yield の最初の音です。

Japanese has "ya," "yu" and "yo," but no "yi" — the sound at the start of year, yeast and yield.

発音のしかた

舌の中央を、「イー」より少し高く上あごに近づけ、そこから母音へすべらせます。

Lift the middle of your tongue toward the roof of your mouth, a little higher than "ee," then glide into the vowel.
