なぜ確認するのか

Oにも、よく使われる音が2つあります。home の長いO、そして dog の短いOです。

The letter O has two common sounds — the long O in home, and the short O in dog.

発音のしかた

長いOは、唇を丸くして、最後に少しすぼめます。短いOは、あごを下げて、唇は力を抜いて開けたままにします。

For the long O, round your lips and pull them in as the sound ends. For the short O, drop your jaw and keep your lips relaxed and open.
