JとCHはよく似て聞こえますが、違う音です。joke と choke のように。

J and CH sound a lot alike, but they are different sounds — like joke and choke.

発音のしかた

CHと同じ口の形で、声を出します。のどがふるえるのを感じてください。gentle や giant のように、g でもこの音になります。

Shape your mouth like CH, then add your voice — feel it buzz in your throat. A soft G makes this sound too, as in gentle and giant.
